Role Overview:

The Internal Ombudsman will act as an independent authority within the NBFC to review complaints that have been partially or wholly rejected by the internal grievance redressal mechanism. The role ensures fairness, transparency, and compliance with RBI's Internal Ombudsman framework while strengthening customer confidence and service quality.

Location - Goregaon

Key Responsibilities:

- Review all customer complaints rejected or partially resolved before final closure.

- Ensure decisions are objective, fair, and compliant with RBI guidelines.

- Recommend corrective actions or systemic improvements.

- Submit quarterly and annual reports to the Board / Audit Committee.

- Advise management on improving grievance redressal processes.

Eligibility & Experience:

- Educational Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in Law, Finance, Banking, or related fields.

Experience:

- Retired General Manager (or above) from any Bank (preferably PSU Bank); OR From NBFCs.

- Minimum 7 years' experience in Banking / Non-financial Regulation / Supervision / Payment & Settlement Systems / Credit Information / Consumer Protection

- Ex-RBI officials (with non-continuity) or retired professionals working as freelancers may also apply.

- Candidates working with the regulator as IO currently would be preferable
