Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
- Conduct and oversee internal, process, and operational audits across business functions.
- Ensure audit assignments are completed efficiently and within timelines.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of internal auditors.
- Allocate resources, provide guidance, and ensure continuous team development.
Fraud Investigations:
- Identify potential fraud risks and investigate suspected fraudulent activities.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions and strengthen controls.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare detailed audit reports with clear observations, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations.
- Present audit findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation.
Process Improvement & Risk Management:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend enhancements.
- Monitor risk exposures and propose improvements to mitigate operational and financial risks.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on changes in auditing standards, accounting regulations, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent qualification.
- 812 years of progressive experience in internal audits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards (IIA, ICAI, etc.), risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in conducting fraud investigations and process audits across functions.
