Below are the role requirements

Qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA / CIA

Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience in a Big 4 / equivalent global audit or with global financial firm in BFSI sector auditing .

Knowledge of ESG reporting is desirable

Job Description

As a Senior Consultant Internal Audit/Business Advisory & ESG Reporting, you will work with leading financial institutions and organizations in Bahrain and the Gulf region, providing risk-based internal audits, control assessments, and ESG advisory services.

The role combines operational and regulatory risk insights with evolving ESG disclosure and strategy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Audit / Business Risk Advisory: (Mandatory)

- Lead and execute internal audit engagements across BFSI (banks, insurance, fintech, etc.) sector

- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and regulatory compliance

- Prepare detailed audit reports with practical recommendations and risk-based insights

- Assist clients in improving governance, risk, and control frameworks

- Contribute to the development of audit methodologies, working papers, and quality assurance processes

ESG Reporting & Advisory: (Knowledge and Exposure Desirable)

- Working in the sustainability/ESG service line of professional services firms or boutique ESG consulting firms.

- 3-5 years of relevant experience covering ESG reporting, emission computation, assurance, strategy and framework development.

- Proven experience in utilising frameworks such as GRI, UN Principles for Responsible Banking, UN Principles for Responsible Investment, TCFD, ISSB, GHG Protocol Standard, etc.

- Masters degree in engineering, environmental & sustainability studies. (Preferred)

- Knowledge of sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.

Practice & Business Development:

- Support the growth of ESG and Risk Advisory services in the Bahrain and GCC market

- Contribute to proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership materials

- Stay up to date on regulatory developments in sustainability, internal audit standards, and sector-specific risks

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels, cultures, and geographies of the organisation.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling reports and presentations
