About the Role

A leading Indian industrial and manufacturing organization is seeking a highly experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead its Internal Audit function on an interim basis.

This role is ideal for a recently retired CA professional from large industrial / EPC / manufacturing groups.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Internal Audit Department (team of 7).

- Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering corporate, plant, and project operations.

- Conduct operational, process, and project audits; review procurement, contract management, and supply chain processes.

- Provide independent assurance to the MD and Audit Committee on internal controls, governance, and risk management.

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI / Listing regulations, and internal policies.

- Mentor and develop the internal audit team; introduce risk-based auditing methodologies.

- Track closure of audit observations and ensure timely remediation.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience:

- 25+ years in Internal Audit, Finance, Risk Management, or Governance.

- Prior experience as Head - Internal Audit / Chief Audit Executive / Senior Finance Leader.

Preferred Background:

- Worked in large industrial groups or EPC/manufacturing companies, preferably:

- Tata Group

- Mahindra Group

- Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited

Ideal Candidate: Recently retired or near-retirement CA professional open to an interim assignment.

Key Competencies

- Strong Audit Committee / Board interaction experience.

- Deep understanding of manufacturing, project-based operations, and EPC environments.

- High integrity and independent judgment.

- Ability to quickly stabilize and strengthen governance and audit frameworks.
