
Role Overview
The Proposal Manager will own the end-to-end management of RFI/RFP responses for strategic opportunities. The role requires strong proposal governance, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to shape compelling proposal narratives aligned to client business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Anchor end-to-end management of RFI/RFP responses ensuring zero deadline miss.
- Develop and manage proposal project trackers including milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Identify dependencies and coordinate activities across Sales, Presales, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership teams.
- Conduct proposal kick-offs, solution workshops, and review meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure all internal governance, approvals, and compliance requirements are completed prior to submission.
- Collaborate with presales and solution teams to structure compelling proposal narratives and win themes.
- Ensure proposals clearly articulate client value propositions, differentiators, and business outcomes.
- Manage content development including executive summaries, solution descriptions, and supporting artifacts.
- Work closely with Sales leadership, CCO team, LoB leaders, and Delivery teams throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks/issues to maintain timelines and quality standards.
- Publish regular proposal status reports ensuring transparency across stakeholders.
- Support commercial teams in pricing strategy and proposal packaging.
- Ensure final proposals comply with organizational standards, governance policies, and submission guidelines.
- Contribute to development of reusable proposal assets, templates, and research artifacts.
- Drive continuous improvement in proposal processes, automation, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 6-15 years of experience in proposal management within IT Services / Consulting / BFSI domains.
- Proven experience managing large, complex RFPs.
- Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Presales, Delivery, and Leadership teams.
- Excellent proposal writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and AI tools.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in BFSI technology transformation deals.
- Familiarity with proposal governance frameworks.
- Exposure to proposal automation tools or AI-assisted proposal development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
