POSITION DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will be responsible for designing and implementation of Impact, Environmental & Social Governance (ESG) Management Systems across the Funds at Aavishkaar Capital. This is a mid-Level position and will be within the Central IMM & ESG department of Aavishkaar Capital.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic:

- Driving and maintaining strong regional and global relationships and partnerships with investors and other key stakeholders on Impact and ESG matters.

- Maintain awareness of global ESG trends and tools, metrics and KPIs, and share updates and implications with broader team

Operations:

- Be a subject matter expert and lead implementation of Impact and ESG management systems, including but not limited to, working with the investment team to assess Impact, and ESG risk and opportunities of portfolio companies, identifying applicable ESG frameworks, monitoring and reviewing ESG due- diligences reports of new investments, and monitoring of on-going Impact and ESG management efforts of investments.

- Work with the investment team to suggest Impact and E&S related action plans/roadmap for the investments and assess the impact on business operations.

Reporting:

- Monitor activities and ensure compliance with ESG Policies, Management Plans and Procedures; and prepare Impact, ESG quarterly and annual reports for the Companys board and LPs

- Development of training and educational materials on new trends in Impact and ESG and assisting in updating Companys ESG policies from time to time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Strong candidate with a minimum of 4 years (max of 6 years) of relevant work

- Experience, and 5+ years of work experience in the Impact/ESG investing/program management

- Working knowledge on Impact and ESG Management Systems, auditing techniques, reporting guidelines and frameworks (e.g. IFC Performance Standards, UNPRI, DJSI, SASB and etc) is a must

- Strong understanding of diverse ESG topics and Sustainability topics and trends

- Financial Modeling, data management, analysis, and visualization skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Post Graduate with Specialization in Finance/Economics/Environmental Planning
