The Insurance Operations Analyst is a foundational role requiring 2 to 4 years of experience, with a B.Com / BBA / MBA in Insurance or Finance.
Based in Gurgaon / Chennai, this position is essential for supporting the end-to-end operational lifecycle of commercial insurance products within a global team environment.
The incumbent will focus on process accuracy, compliance adherence, and rapid learning within the P&C (Property & Casualty) commercial insurance ecosystem, utilizing AI-powered workflows.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to join our operations team as an Insurance Operations Analyst.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational background in P&C Commercial Insurance or relevant finance qualifications.
This role is responsible for supporting crucial, end-to-end insurance processesfrom new business issuance through claimsensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective coordination with global teams.
Key Responsibilities and Operational Deliverables:
- End-to-End Operational Support: Support end-to-end insurance operations across the policy lifecycle, including key technical processes such as policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, COIs (Certificates of Insurance), and claims processing support.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policy in every operational process.
- Perform quality checks on processed documentation before finalization.
- Global Team Coordination: Coordinate effectively with global teams and cross-functional departments (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Finance) to ensure smooth handoffs and timely resolution of operational queries.
- Process Learning and Optimization: Actively learn how the commercial insurance ecosystem works, developing strong foundational operational and analytical skills while identifying potential improvements in workflow efficiency.
- Technology Adoption: Engage with and utilize AI-powered workflows and technology platforms to enhance operational efficiency, demonstrating a proactive approach as a tech-savvy professional.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all operational activities, ensuring clear audit trails, and assist in preparing periodic operational reports for management review.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in an operations, finance, or back-office role, OR Freshers with a B.Com / BBA / MBA in Insurance or Finance.
- Domain Background: Demonstrated Background in P&C (Property & Casualty) Commercial Insurance (required for experienced hires) or strong academic foundation (for freshers).
- Core Skills: Strong communication & analytical skills are required for effective coordination and problem resolution.
- Work Ethic: Must be Detail-oriented and eager to learn, showing initiative and precision in task execution.
Preferred Skills:
- Technology: Familiarity with modern insurance software platforms, CRMs, or workflow management tools.
- Certification: Progress towards or completion of relevant insurance certifications (e.g., LOMA, Associateship in Insurance).
