Role Objective:

To manage and optimize the companys insurance portfolio, ensuring comprehensive coverage of assets, operations, and employees while minimizing risk exposure and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and implement insurance policies aligned with organizational risk management objectives.

- Evaluate existing coverage and recommend enhancements for property, liability, marine, employee benefits, and other specialized risks.

Policy Administration:

- Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage with insurers and brokers.

- Ensure timely renewal of policies and maintain accurate documentation.

- Coordinate claims management, ensuring efficient settlement and minimizing disputes.

Risk Management:

- Conduct risk assessments for manufacturing operations, supply chain, and financial exposures.

- Advise management on emerging risks and insurance solutions.

Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and corporate governance standards.

- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders for insurance-related matters.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with finance, legal, HR, and operations teams to align insurance coverage with business needs.

- Build strong relationships with insurers, brokers, and TPAs.

Candidate Profile:

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Risk Management, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., Associate of Insurance Institute of India, IRDA certifications) preferred.

Experience: ~10 years in insurance management, preferably within manufacturing or large industrial sectors.

Skills:

- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

- Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex claims.

- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
