Our client is a Mumbai based large Indian transnational chemical company listed on stock exchanges in India. Our client seeks Manager Insurance.

The incumbent must be from Chemical Manufacturing Company having International and PAN India Operations.

This position reports into VP - Finance and the candidate should have minimum of 10-12 years of experience in insurance management, risk management, or a related field. Incumbent must have Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk assessment techniques.

Education Qualification - Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

The Insurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves evaluating insurance policies, negotiating terms with providers, and handling claims processes to protect the company's assets and interests.

Responsibilities :

1. Assess the organization's insurance needs and determine appropriate coverage.

2. Evaluate and select insurance policies that best fit the company's risk profile.

3. Negotiate terms and premiums with insurance providers.

4. Ensure timely renewal of policies and maintain accurate records of all insurance documentation.

5. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

6. Implement and monitor risk management policies and procedures.

7. Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust insurance coverage accordingly.

8. Advise senior management on risk-related issues and recommend improvements.

9. Manage the claims process from initiation to settlement.

10. Liaise with insurance providers to ensure timely and fair settlement of claims.

11. Investigate and document incidents that may lead to claims.

12. Maintain detailed records of all claims and correspondence with insurers.

13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding insurance.

14. Prepare and submit required reports.

15. Keep abreast of changes in insurance legislation and industry practices.

16. Provide regular reports to senior management on insurance coverage, claims status, and risk management activities.
