- We are looking for an innovative Instructional Designer with a passion for immersive learning to join our training solutions team.
- You'll design AR/VR-based training experiences that drive behavior change, boost learner engagement, and improve knowledge retention across a range of corporate training programs.
- You'll partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams including XR developers and other internal stakeholders to bring interactive, real-world scenarios to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct learning needs assessments to carry out informed content design.
- Design and develop instructional materials for AR/VR platforms that align with adult learning theories and instructional design best practices.
- Apply instructional design models suited for experiential and spatial learning.
- Collaborate with AR/VR developers, 3D animators, and SMEs to storyboard and script immersive scenarios.
- Develop storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes for immersive modules.
- Ensure content aligns with learning objectives, user experience (UX) standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Apply gamification principles where appropriate to enhance user engagement.
- Utilize XR platforms and tools like Unity, Unreal, and immersive content systems.
- Participate in pilot testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve learning experiences.
- Stay updated with AR/VR trends, tools, and instructional technologies.
Education & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years focused on AR/VR content development.
- Strong grasp of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and adult learning principles.
- Familiarity with AR/VR tools and workflows (Unity, Unreal Engine, CenarioVR, or similar).
- Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, and design specifications for XR developers.
- Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
Skills & Tools:
- Strong grasp of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy).
- Experience with AR/VR authoring tools (Unity, Unreal Engine, and immersive content systems).
- Familiarity with 3D modelling basics and collaboration with XR teams.
- Proficiency in visual storytelling, scenario-based learning, and learner-centred design.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in agile, iterative development cycles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Portfolio demonstrating AR/VR-based instructional design work.
- Knowledge of learning analytics and xAPI/SCORM standards.
- Passion for emerging technology and innovative learning methods.
