An institutional equity research associate on the sell-side is responsible for providing research support to a team of senior equity analysts. The job duties include: 1. Conducting research and analysis on specific companies, industries, and sectors. 2. Assisting senior analysts in creating financial models, forecasting earnings, and valuing companies. 3. Participating in conference calls and company meetings to gather information and insights. 4. Writing research reports, investment recommendations, and other communications for clients. 5. Maintaining contact with clients and providing them with timely and relevant research and information. 6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, economic indicators, and industry news. 7. Supporting the team in executing trades and communicating with traders and sales teams. 8. Building and maintaining financial models and databases. 9. Supporting the team in marketing the company's research and services to clients. 10. Adhering to regulatory rules and industry standards. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in finance, accounting, or economics, as well as excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
