Institutional Equity Research Analyst

Role Overview:

- The Institutional Equity Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of companies within a specified sector, providing investment recommendations to institutional clients.

- This role involves collaborating with sales and trading teams, engaging with company management, and contributing to the overall research product. The analyst's work directly impacts investment decisions made by our clients, contributing to their portfolio performance and our firm's reputation for excellence in equity research.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough fundamental research on companies within assigned sector(s), including financial statement analysis, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape assessment.

- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and derive valuation targets for institutional clients.

- Write clear, concise, and insightful research reports and notes, communicating investment recommendations and key findings to institutional clients.

- Engage with company management teams to gather information and insights, providing clients with a deeper understanding of the business.

- Collaborate with sales and trading teams to disseminate research and provide timely market commentary to institutional clients.

- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments, assessing their potential impact on covered companies and providing proactive analysis to clients.

- Participate in client meetings and conferences, presenting research findings and answering questions to support investment decisions.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis of companies.

- Proven ability to build and maintain complex financial models.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment recommendations clearly and persuasively.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with company management, institutional clients, and internal teams.

- Deep understanding of Indian equities markets and regulatory environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
