About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Solution Consultant / Pre-Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT Services, emerging technology trends, and solution design principles. You will play a key role in packaging new service offerings, responding to RFPs/RFQs, and developing innovative, customer-centric IT solutions that drive business growth.
- This role demands close collaboration with sales, delivery, and partner teams to create impactful proposals, presentations, and go-to-market strategies tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Offering Development & Market Research
- Keep abreast of technology trends, market dynamics, and customer needs in the IT services domain.
- Develop and package new offerings that complement the existing service portfolio.
- Evaluate and repackage current offerings to increase market penetration and customer adoption.
- Conduct competitive analysis and contribute to strategic initiatives for service differentiation.
2. Sales Collaboration & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer pain points and suggest actionable solutions that can generate business opportunities.
- Actively participate in account mining, cross-selling, and up-selling activities, aligning customer needs with relevant service capabilities.
- Support sales and account managers with impactful presentations and technical discussions during client meetings.
3. RFP/RFQ/RFI Management
- Demonstrate expertise in analyzing and responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs with high-quality, timely submissions.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into detailed technical and business solutions.
- Conduct discussions with customers and stakeholders to clarify RFP specifications when required.
- Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to develop service designs, delivery models, and cost structures aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals that are accurate, compliant, and compelling.
4. Solution Design & Proposal Development
- Create winning solutions in response to RFPs by integrating inputs from cross-functional teams.
- Apply sound understanding of service delivery methodologies, frameworks, and tools to design robust IT solutions.
- Leverage automation, tools, and innovative technologies to improve service efficiency and value.
- Conduct Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) and support the creation of financial models for proposals.
5. Collateral & Knowledge Management
- Develop case studies, whitepapers, and technical collaterals that showcase organizational capabilities and successful project deliveries.
- Create industry-specific content and marketing materials aligned with business objectives and client requirements.
- Ensure knowledge management systems are up to date with relevant documentation, offerings, and reusable content.
6. Strategic Partnerships & OEM Engagements
- Build and manage strategic relationships with technology partners, OEMs, and automation tool providers.
- Explore and evaluate new tools and technologies to strengthen the service delivery portfolio.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales/Marketing/IT Management (preferred).
Experience:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or IT Services.
- Proven track record in building and responding to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs for IT solutions.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT service delivery methodologies, frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Agile), and solution design.
- Good knowledge of tools, automation technologies, and service management platforms.
- Proficiency in Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) and technical proposal support.
- Experience in conceptual, consultative, and strategic selling.
- Ability to create high-quality presentations and proposal documents backed by market intelligence.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
