Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth:
- Define and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new markets, customer segments, geographies, and product/service opportunities.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend assessments relevant to Gujarat, pan-India, and export markets.
- Drive diversification and expansion initiatives.
Sales & Revenue Leadership:
- Own and achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets.
- Build, lead, and mentor the business development and sales teams.
- Establish sales pipelines, forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for lead generation, branding, and campaigns.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Acquire and manage key accounts, strategic customers, and enterprise clients.
- Develop long-term relationships with CXOs, procurement heads, and decision-makers.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial closures.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Partnerships & Channel Development:
- Identify, develop, and manage channel partners, distributors, and strategic alliances.
- Strengthen relationships with local and national partners.
- Evaluate partnership performance and drive mutual growth.
Proposals, RFPs & Negotiations:
- Oversee preparation of RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and commercial proposals.
- Ensure accurate costing, competitive pricing, and risk assessment.
- Lead high-value and complex negotiations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with manufacturing/operations, supply chain, finance, and project teams.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to execution.
- Align customer commitments with delivery capabilities.
Financial & Performance Management:
- Prepare budgets, revenue forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor margins, profitability, and cost structures.
- Present performance reports and growth plans to senior management.
Leadership & Representation:
- Provide strategic input to senior leadership and board-level discussions.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade fairs, and customer meetings.
- Promote the company's brand and values in the market
