Job Description:


We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Vice President Sales (Indian Revenue Services) to lead our sales efforts within the Income Tax and allied departments under the Indian Revenue Services.

This role demands a deep understanding of the IRS ecosystem, proven enterprise sales experience in the government or financial compliance domain, and strong stakeholder management skills with top-tier bureaucrats and policy influencers.


Key Responsibilities:


- Sales Leadership: Drive strategic sales growth for our analytics and compliance products within the Indian Income Tax ecosystem (CBDT, Directorate of I-T, etc.

- Market Development: Identify new opportunities across central and state tax authorities, government departments, and PSU collaborations.

- Relationship Management: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key stakeholders including IRS officers, government officials, system integrators, and consulting partners.

- Bid Management: Lead and oversee large RFPs, tenders, empanelments, and procurement processes aligned with government norms.

- Revenue Ownership: Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets with strong forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.

- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with product, delivery, legal, and compliance teams to ensure solution alignment with IRS needs.

- Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, government forums, and policy panels; contribute to positioning us as a thought leader in tax-tech.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


- Minimum 20 years of experience in IRS or Income Tax sales, with at least 5+ years focused on the Income Tax / IRS domain.

- Strong existing network within the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Ministry of Finance, and associated regulatory bodies.

- Proven track record of closing high-value technology deals with the Indian government or PSU sector.

- Deep understanding of government procurement lifecycle, data privacy laws, and compliance frameworks.

- Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.

- Ability to lead a team and work in a matrixed environment.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
