Head Procurement (10-13 yrs)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven Head - Procurement to lead procurement efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle business-as-usual (BAU) procurement tasks with minimal guidance.
The role will focus on developing and executing procurement strategies, managing IT services and technology procurement, insurance, vendor management, contract negotiations, and driving cost optimization and process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and financial goals.
- Partner with business teams to understand purchase requirements and manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle (PR-to-PO, contracting, renewals).
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Third-Party Risk teams to ensure governance, compliance, and cross-functional alignment.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost, quality, and service levels.
- Drive vendor consolidation, cost savings, and efficiency initiatives across categories.
- Own procurement processes, policies, and controls; drive automation and process improvements.
- Monitor and optimize cost, delivery, and performance KPIs to ensure operational excellence.
- Prepare and manage Capex and Opex budgets in partnership with Finance.
- Synthesize data and insights into clear, executive-ready updates for senior stakeholders.
- Manage and negotiate with vendors across IT Services, SaaS, technology, corporate insurance, professional services, and other indirect procurement categories.
- Drive commercial negotiations, contract management, vendor performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
Skills & Requirements:- 8+ years of post-qualification, relevant procurement experience, including at least 3+ years in people management roles.
- Strong experience in techno-commercial procurement, IT/Technology Services procurement, contract management, and vendor management, with a proven track record of driving efficiency, value creation, and cost optimization.
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and managing categories such as IT Services, MarTech, SaaS, corporate insurance, global recruitment agencies, and other professional services.
- Strong vendor negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive favorable commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and e-sourcing tools such as SAP Ariba, MSD365, Oracle, NetSuite, or ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making, financial analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
- MBA or Post Graduate Diploma (PGDBM) with specialization in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or CPP will be an added advantage.
