
About the Role:
As Data & Analytics Product Owner, you will play a key role in delivering both the IT & Data mission to deeply understand the end users needs and own the vision and roadmap of the product mandated by the organization and the stakeholders to make this vision a reality by translating it into a product that bears maximum value to Danone and its suppliers, being accountable for their satisfaction end to end with the Product.
Technical Skills Required:
- Master's in CS / Engineering / Statistics / IT / Information Systems.
- 10+ years of total experience; 5 - 7 years Data Product Management, agile, full product lifecycles (discovery delivery).
- You are driven by fact-based impact and have a proven Data Product Management track record, that includes working in agile setup, defining product vision, collaborating with designers and engineering teams, and knowledge about product lifecycle.
- You can run SQL queries on your own: you are not fearing to explore data to identify the next feature to build / support business inquiries.
- You have a strong understanding of data architecture patterns, data engineering best practices, and data science techniques.
- You have a strong business maturity: you understand the organisational challenges inherent to a corporation the size of Danone.
- You have excellent leadership and communication skills, that in turn help you to negotiate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, which is necessary to build trust and relationship with C&P / Sustainability stakeholders.
- You are a problem-solver and have experience in smoothly arbitraging difficult or ambiguous situations, to rally people around company objectives.
- You are comfortable working under changing or conflicting priorities.
- Knowledge in Cycles & Procurement applied to FMCG is a must have: source to pay, ingredients/pack/milk management, supplier management, risk management.
- Knowledge in Sustainability applied to FMCG is a strong plus, tied to end to end product life - from cradle to grave operations: farming, suppliers, manufacturing, transports, use of sold products, end of life, etc.
- Knowledge of Azure ecosystem of services is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of databricks is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Data Catalog, Data Quality frameworks is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and strategy: Collaborates with stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision and strategy.
- Backlog management: Maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog and define the extension guardrails, where applicable.
- Requirement Gathering and Refinement: Works closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Release Planning and Road-mapping: Collaborates with the squad members and stakeholders to plan and prioritize releases.
- Global roadmap management and its communication to stakeholders.
- Plan & Review: Plan the work to be done with the squad members and demonstrate the completed work to stakeholders.
- Dependency management: Identify and manage dependencies that may impact the success of the Product and Squads.
- Stakeholders engagement: Serves as the primary liaison between the squad members and the stakeholders.
- Acceptance criteria definition: Provide clear guidelines for when a requirement is considered complete and ready for release.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seeks feedback from stakeholders, team members, and end-users to identify areas for improvement by fostering the adherence to the frameworks best practices.
- Data strategy and vision: From high-level functional needs, you derive tactical and strategical roadmaps that not only accommodate the business strategy, but that are also aligned with IT & Data, based on proven business cases and measurable success criteria, as well as emphasizing scalability and standardization.
- You translate these large-scale data initiatives into actionable tasks / projects.
- You champion data literacy across the C&P / Sustainability organization.
- Data product development: You lead and embark your squad by defining a vision, that you turn into the right priorities and methodologies.
- You adjust these priorities when needed.
- You define and follow KPIs to drive the team towards goals and impacts.
- You communicate clearly and regularly on the progress, risk, and impact of the roadmap, which in turn means you anticipate challenges and dependencies.
- You apply your product management background, from discovery (market assessment, design) to delivery (test, QA).
- Data governance and infrastructure: You manage data governance processes to ensure data reliability, consistency, and quality, in accordance with corporate existing initiatives and frameworks.
- You build and maintain data infrastructure for optimal performance, in accordance with the platform team's recommendations and best practices.
