About the Role

The Zonal Head will be responsible for driving business growth, revenue, and market expansion across a large multi-state / multi-city zone.

This is a senior leadership role involving strategic ownership of the zone, building and managing high-performing teams, strengthening school partnerships, and ensuring consistent execution excellence.

The role requires deep experience in B2B / institutional sales, strong people leadership, and the ability to scale operations while maintaining customer satisfaction and financial discipline.

Responsibilities

Zonal Business Ownership

- Own revenue, growth, and profitability for the assigned zone.

- Define and execute the zonal sales strategy aligned with company goals.

- Drive new customer acquisition across schools and institutional partners.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Area Managers / Regional Managers.

- Set clear targets, review performance, and drive a high-performance culture.

- Coach teams on solution selling, school engagement, and negotiation.

Customer Acquisition & Strategic Partnerships

- Build and deepen relationships with school promoters, principals, and decision-makers.

- Personally engage in large or strategic school closures.

- Oversee demos of Robotics Kits, Coding programs, and Wizklub solutions at key accounts.

Customer Retention & Account Expansion

- Ensure high retention across the zone.

- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing school portfolios.

- Strengthen long-term partnerships with key accounts.

Channel & Ecosystem Development

- Define and execute the channel partner strategy for the zone.

- Identify, onboard, and manage high-impact channel partners.

Marketing & Activation

- Oversee zonal marketing plans including school events, workshops, competitions, and student activations.

- Work closely with central marketing teams to ensure strong brand presence.

Collections & Financial Discipline

- Own collections performance for the zone.

- Ensure adherence to payment terms, advance collections, and risk mitigation.

Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution

- Track program implementation and customer satisfaction metrics.

- Proactively address escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Cross-functional Coordination

- Work closely with operations, academics, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure smooth rollout and execution across schools.

Reporting & Governance

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting through CRM and MIS systems.

- Review pipeline health, forecasts, and execution metrics regularly.

Qualifications

- B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) / Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC) OR BCA / MCA

- 8 - 15 years of B2B / institutional sales experience, preferably in Schools, edtech, or enterprise solutions

- Proven experience in leading and scaling sales teams

- Strong track record of revenue ownership, stakeholder management, and large-deal closures

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills

Work Environment
