Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ERP Leader with strong hands-on SAP functional and technical experience and a proven track record of delivering SAP/ERP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, enhancements, and transformation initiatives across diverse client environments.

The primary requirement for this role is strong SAP/ERP technical and functional expertise. Project management and general management experience are important, but they are secondary.

The ideal candidate should have progressed from an SAP functional/technical background into an ERP leadership role and should be capable of understanding, challenging, and guiding SAP solutions rather than only managing project timelines.

Experience across multiple industries such as manufacturing, FMCG, retail, pharma, or similar sectors is preferred. The role will involve leading SAP implementations and transformation initiatives across diverse client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive the organization's overall SAP ERP strategy, roadmap, implementation, and continuous improvement.

- Lead SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, migration, and transformation programs.

- Provide functional and technical leadership across the SAP landscape.

- Work with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.

- Lead SAP functional and technical teams, implementation partners, and vendors.

- Build and lead a team of approximately 5 - 15 SAP functional/technical consultants across client engagements.

- Review SAP solution designs, integrations, interfaces, and technical/functional approaches.

- Ensure effective integration between SAP modules and other enterprise applications.

- Drive ERP process improvements, automation, standardization, and optimization.

- Establish SAP governance, standards, support processes, methodologies, and best practices.

- Manage SAP vendors, budgets, resources, risks, and delivery.

- Work closely with the CTO and senior management on ERP strategy and technology decisions.

- Provide leadership across different SAP environments and project types, including ECC, S/4HANA, implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, migration, and support engagements.

- Ensure effective transition and knowledge transfer between implementation, support, and transformation teams.

SAP Landscape & Technical Scope:

The candidate should have broad exposure across the SAP ecosystem, including:

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ERP / SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA.

- Experience across SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and support.

- Strong functional/technical knowledge in at least one or two SAP modules, preferably SAP MM, SD, or FICO.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end ERP business processes.

- Good understanding of SAP integration, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies between modules.

- Understanding of integration technologies such as SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.

- Experience integrating SAP with CRM, WMS, eCommerce platforms, and other third-party enterprise systems.

- Awareness of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Platform, and hybrid deployment models covering on-premises and cloud environments.

- Basic understanding of ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, and debugging approaches. The candidate is not expected to be a developer but should be capable of reviewing, evaluating, and challenging technical approaches.

- Ability to understand and evaluate SAP solution architecture and functional/technical designs.

Mandatory Requirements:

- 12+ years of overall IT/ERP experience, with significant SAP experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ERP / SAP S/4HANA.

- Strong functional/technical knowledge in at least one or two SAP modules, preferably SAP MM, SD, FICO, or other core SAP modules.

- Proven experience in actual SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, integration, migration, or major enhancement projects.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end ERP business processes.

- Good understanding of SAP integration, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies between modules.

- Experience leading SAP teams and working with SAP implementation partners/vendors.

- Ability to understand and evaluate SAP solution architecture and functional/technical designs.

- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
