Function: Operations / Advisory (Buy-Side)

Location: Noida (on-site, with travel across 8 priority states)

Reporting: Founder, Infinia Solar

Experience: 2-4 years in RE advisory, project finance, or CFO-facing strategy

The Role:

You are the technical voice in every CFO conversation. Not a project manager who shuffles documents; not a sales person who pitches. The Senior Consultant is the technical defender of the client - the person who reads a 70-page Definitive PPA the way a litigator reads a contract, the person who tells the CFO of a INR 1,200-crore textile company exactly which 4 clauses will cost them INR 7 crore over 25 years if signed as drafted, and the person whose redline gets the developer to move.

This is not transactional consulting. Each engagement runs 4-9 months, is anchored in our 4-bucket Due Diligence framework (Credibility, Legal, Financial, Technical), and ends with you defending a position in the client's boardroom against a sceptical CFO and a developer's commercial head sitting across the table. You will own 8-12 active engagements at a time, each INR 200 Cr+ in lifetime contract value.

This is also a multiplier role. You will mentor 2-3 junior analysts on the 4-bucket DD framework, turn your live cases into Infinia's IP library, and publish under your name. Your work compounds: the cases you close become the reference cases the next CFO sees. The juniors you build become next year's Senior Consultants. The redlines you draft become the firm's standard playbook for that state and that sector.

Key Responsibilities:

PPA Review & Redlining:

- Lead end-to-end review of NNCs (Non-Negotiable Conditions), Term Sheets, and Definitive PPAs - 20+ contracts per quarter.

- Flag commercial risks within 24 hours of contract receipt: tariff caps, COL pass-through limits, exit clauses, performance penalties, payment security, change-in-law triggers, deemed generation, force majeure language.

- Author redline memoranda that the developer's commercial head accepts because the language is precise, not aggressive.

Due Diligence Execution (4 Buckets):

- Lead 4-bucket Due Diligence on RE developers: Credibility (track record, defaults, litigation), Legal (corporate structure, SPV health, lender consortium), Financial (balance-sheet stress, debt-service coverage, payment history), Technical (plant performance, O&M record, generation guarantees).

- Build financial models with 3-scenario savings cases (base, downside, payment-default) and IRR sensitivity grids across tariff, escalation, and curtailment vectors.

- Multi-state regulatory comparison across TN, KA, MH, GJ, RJ, AP, TS, UP - banking provisions, cross-subsidy surcharge, additional surcharge, wheeling, transmission, captive vs OA structures.

Client Defence (Boardroom):

- Present and defend technical positions in client boardrooms - CFO, MD, Head of Procurement, Head of Sustainability - against the developer's commercial team in the same room.

- Translate regulatory and contractual risk into rupee impact: This clause as drafted = INR 7.2 Cr exposure over 25 years; here is the redline that takes it to INR 1.1 Cr.

- Author CFO-grade decks: 12-18 slides, every chart sourced, every recommendation defended.

- Co-own the close with the BD lead - the developer signs because the technical position is unassailable, not because the client capitulated.

Mentorship & IP:

- Mentor 2-3 junior analysts on the 4-bucket DD framework. Run weekly knowledge-share sessions and live deal walk-throughs.

- Author 2-3 case studies / regulatory briefs per quarter under your byline - these become Infinia's published IP and your professional flag.

- Build the firm's state-specific playbooks (one per quarter): the canonical answer to what does a sound PPA look like in Tamil Nadu in FY27?
