Location & Work Model: Bangalore (Hybrid).

Initially 4 days/week in office, transitioning to 3 days/week over time.

About Infilect:


- Infilect is an enterprise SaaS company building AI-first products for the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail verticals.

- Our platform has been in market for ~5 years and is now entering a critical scale phase moving from single-digit million ARR to double-digit million ARR over the next three years.

- We are EBITDA and cash-flow positive and are preparing for strategic investments, making engineering leadership central to our growth journey.

- We are looking for a growth-oriented, hands-on engineering leader who can help scale our platform, teams, and engineering practices to world-class standards.

Ideal Candidate:

- Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment, with demonstrated success in scaling an engineering platform across multiple dimensions.

- Not more than 8 to 12 years of experience.

- Proven track record of leading engineering teams through rapid growth phases.

- Experience building and operating enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.

- Exposure to analytics-heavy or data-intensive systems is a strong plus.

Technical Foundation:

- Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment.

- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, DevOps, and reliability engineering.

- Ability to guide teams on trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality.

- GenAI Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on exposure to using generative AI coding assistants (e.g, Copilot-like tools).

- Strong belief in and vision for AI-augmented engineering productivity.

- Willingness and ability to institutionalize GenAI-driven practices across teams.

Leadership Style:

- A people-first manager who genuinely cares about team well-being and growth.

- Inspires engineers to raise the bar on quality, ownership, and impact.

- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.

Education:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Role Overview:


- The Head of Engineering will own engineering & AI strategy, execution, and culture across the organization.

This leader will be responsible for scaling the engineering platform across:.

- Scale of AI.

- Scale of operations.

- Scale of customizations.

- Scale of analytics and data.

- Availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- This role requires a people-first leader who can build and sustain a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture, while also driving speed, quality, and scalability of product delivery.

Key Responsibilities :


Engineering Leadership & Platform Scaling:


- Own the end-to-end engineering roadmap (front-end, back-end, AI, Computer Vision), architecture, and execution strategy.


- Scale the platform to support rapid ARR growth, increased customer complexity, and higher data volumes.


- Ensure best-in-class scalability, reliability, security, and availability.


- Drive engineering decisions that balance speed, robustness, and long-term maintainability.

People & Culture:


- Build, mentor, and retain a high-caliber engineering & AI team.


- Foster a people-first culture with psychological safety, ownership, and accountability.


- Coach engineering managers and senior engineers to grow into leaders.


- Motivate teams to deliver robust, production-grade releases, not just fast code.

Engineering Excellence & Best Practices:


Establish and enforce best practices across:.


- System design and architecture.


- DevOps, SRE, and cloud operations.


- Observability, monitoring, and incident management.


- Release management and quality assurance.


Raise the bar on engineering discipline and execution rigor across teams.

GenAI-Driven Engineering Transformation:


Leverage generative AIbased coding assistants and tools to:.


- Increase engineering velocity.


- Improve code quality.


- Reduce development and maintenance costs.


- Dramatically optimize cloud and infrastructure costs.


- Design and implement world-class GenAI-enabled engineering workflows.


- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development as a core engineering capability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


- Partner closely with Product, Data, Sales, and Customer Success teams.


- Translate business and customer needs into scalable technical solutions.


- Support enterprise customers with complex customization and analytics needs.
