Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Manager Supply Chain Management to lead and strengthen our end-to-end supply chain operations. The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational efficiency across procurement, inventory planning, warehousing coordination, vendor management, and logistics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and service-level commitments. This role requires strong leadership capability, analytical rigor, and hands-on experience in managing scalable supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize cost, service levels, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure seamless coordination across procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, and logistics functions.
- Support business growth by enabling scalable and resilient supply chain operations.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals to deliver operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Technology, and Commercial teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for regional warehouse teams and logistics partners.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, pricing, service levels, and performance reviews.
- Drive supplier compliance on delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost commitments.
- Identify alternate sourcing and risk-mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Inventory Planning & Control:
- Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, aging, and turns; drive corrective actions to reduce write-offs and working capital impact.
- Ensure adherence to inventory control SOPs across warehouses.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Track and analyze key SCM KPIs such as OTIF, fill rate, inventory turns, cost per order, and vendor performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for supply chain failures and implement preventive measures.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, statutory, and quality standards across the supply chain.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support audits and governance requirements related to SCM operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations roles.
- Proven experience in a people management or leadership role within SCM.
- Prior exposure to B2B, e-commerce, industrial distribution, retail, or large warehouse operations is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in ERP / WMS / SCM tools and reporting systems
- Ability to travel periodically to warehouse locations within the assigned region
Certifications (Preferred): APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent Supply Chain certifications
