Job Summary:
- We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and execute complex greenfield projects in the mechanical and/or electrical domains.
- This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and proven experience in delivering projects within budget and schedule.
- The ideal candidate will manage all phases of project lifecycles, from planning through construction and commissioning.
- Experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems is a must, while civil engineering experience is not preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Ensure project execution adheres to plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical oversight for electrical and/or mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Lead system design reviews for electrical or mechanical systems.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Project Control & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Track project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to management and clients.
- Lead project risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
Safety & Quality:
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Implement and oversee quality control and assurance programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Greenfield and Brownfield Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience managing both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Ability to adapt project strategies to meet the unique challenges of each environment.
- Strong understanding of integration challenges when working within brownfield sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, particularly with greenfield projects.
- Proven track record of managing complex electrical and/or mechanical projects.
- Experience managing project budgets upwards of 100 Cr.
- Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project or Primavera.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications.
Industry Experience: Experience in the continuous production manufacturing, cable, or FRP industries (preferred but not mandatory).
