Lead- Strategic Partnership, Infrastructure Acquisition

Position Summary:


We're seeking an experienced leader to manage & lead our strategic partnerships & infrastructure acquisition, tender bidding, government liaison, policy advocacy, and site feasibility efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, government relations, and project management, with a passion to work for the EV industry. This is a mid-managerial position playing a pivotal role in driving the company's overall growth by exploring new partnerships with PSU, Govt Companies, Business groups & corporates, thereby driving profitability & viability of business and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement the company strategic plans and long-term goals, aligned with the overall company objectives.

- Assess market trends, industry dynamics, and competitors' activities to identify potential growth opportunities and mitigate potential risks.

- Lead infrastructure acquisition efforts, identifying and securing strategic locations for EV battery swapping stations

- Manage tender bidding processes, ensuring successful outcomes and compliance with regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Deployment, Strategic Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Business Development

- Foster strong government relationships, advocating for policies supporting EV adoption and battery swapping infrastructure development

- Support project development of EV charging Hubs & stations projects from conceptualization to execution including understanding of state, analysing of state power policy, EV Policy, state utility, land availability, solar generation and Open access Policy, land survey/selection, processing of land due diligence, land acquisition, technical requirements, permits & approvals, project stage inspections, commissioning of projects etc.

Talent Development:


- Identify talent gaps, implement training programs, and recruit additional team members as needed to build a high-performing infrastructure acquisition & strategic partnership team.


- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with local and national regulations related to state EV policy & standards and ensure compliance throughout the design & implementation process.


Qualification Requirement - Skill set

- Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical / Automobile engineering or equivalent. MBA is a plus


- 15 years of experience in business development, government relations, or infrastructure development. Experience in Energy/ EV Charging/Swapping stations projects is a plus

- Strong understanding of the EV industry and battery swapping technology and automotive industry trends.

- Good understanding of government agencies and relationship building. Familiarity with government policies and regulations

- Proven track record in tender bidding and government liaison

- Excellent project management and leadership skills

- Ability to travel on the job anywhere in India

- Experience in working in high-tech project-oriented companies and management in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.

- Screen, evaluate and recommend to Management for EV business & other special projects - Inorganic and Organic (Business Plan on volume, profitability & sustainability).
