Role/ Designation: Manager - Operations Analytics.
Location: Gurugram.
Brief about the role:
The Manager Operations Analytics plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence by driving punctuality across the airlines network.
This role involves comprehensive performance monitoring, strategic process improvements, predictive risk management, and cross-functional coordination to enhance on-time performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a hybrid analytics role.
- Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Programming: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch preferred).
- Data Visualization: Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn.
- Data Management: SQL, SSMS, data warehousing concepts.
- Machine Learning: Supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, model evaluation.
- Tools & Platforms: Power Automate, Power Apps (preferred), Git, Jupyter Notebooks.
Job responsibility:
Performance Monitoring & Analysis:
- Lead turnaround optimization initiatives in coordination with AOCS, Engineering, Flight Operations, and Network Planning.
- Identify systemic delay causes and design process improvements to mitigate them.
- Support decision-making during irregular operations (IROPS) and weather disruptions.
- Standardize delay coding and reporting processes across the network.
Predictive & Preventive Actions:
- Develop predictive models (using AI/ML, where applicable) to forecast delay risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with airports, ground handlers, and ATC to ensure proactive resource planning and readiness.
- Create early-warning systems for high-risk flights or congested airports.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
- Chair daily OTP review calls with operations, commercial, and engineering teams.
- Drive accountability by publishing delay summaries and performance scorecards.
- Present monthly OTP performance reviews to senior leadership and external partners (airports, regulators, etc.
Data, Systems & Innovation:
- Collaborate with IT/Analytics to enhance data pipelines, dashboards, and OTP monitoring tools.
- Introduce automation and AI-driven insights for predictive delay management.
- Partner with airports and external agencies on joint performance initiatives (A-CDM, turnaround efficiency, etc.
