IndiGo - Manager - Ethics & Compliance

Housed within the Governance Risk and Compliance department, the Ethics and Compliance team ensures that IndiGo's operations are compliant with IndiGo's Code of Conduct, its internal policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.

Leadership and Operations

- Assist in developing the internal strategy, policies and processes of the Ethics and Compliance team as well as establish the annual work plan in collaboration with the team and stakeholders, set objectives, performance measurements, standards and results expected

- Assist in monitoring implementation of the Ethics and Compliance team's work plan, oversee progress and ensure the delivery of results as planned and according to expectation

- Evaluate the activities/initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic plans, relevant frameworks and standards

- Plan and allocate resources to achieve goals and ensure cost-effective and appropriate use of resources

- Promote teamwork and collaboration by providing the team with clear direction, objectives and guidance to enable them to perform their duties responsibly, effectively and efficiently

Investigations

- Manage whistleblower and workplace investigations in accordance with IndiGo's complaint resolution process and SOPs

- Guide junior team members in their investigations

- Assist in implementation of remediation actions as directed by the Ethics and Compliance Committee

- Assist with case management, tracking, analytics, and reporting for preparing periodic reports for the internal and external stakeholders

Fraud Risk Assessments and Compliance Reviews

- Plan, conduct, and oversee fraud risk assessments and internal compliance reviews, often partnering with various subject matter experts and in accordance with the internal methodologies

- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with frauds, unethical practices, or other violations of laws and internal policies

- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously

- Assist in review and revision of policies, procedures, reports, etc., periodically to identify hidden risks or nonconformity issues

- Effectively engage relevant stakeholders for discussing findings and remediation actions

- Prepare review presentations to the Audit Committee or Ethics and Compliance Committee

- Write and review reports, ensuring appropriate documentation

- Oversee and ensure implementation of remediation actions as agreed with various stakeholders

- Keep abreast with regulatory developments within or outside the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control

Growing Awareness on Ethics and Compliance

- Develop and deliver training sessions to employees on ethics and compliance issues, and guidelines for better compliance

- Promote ethical standards, in accordance with the Code of Conduct of IndiGo as well as its values

- Engage with stakeholders proactively, to achieve clarity around compliance management and integrity standards

- Assist in developing and managing appropriate mechanisms for a coherent application of the compliance and ethics standards, driving the culture of integrity, accountability, transparency, respect and professionalism

- Assist in creating compliance and ethics training opportunities for all personnel (i.e., from on-boarding, through induction to ongoing development)

Qualification/Experience: CA/MBA/LLB with min. 6-9 years of relevant experience
