Assistant Manager - International HR

Job Title: Assistant Manager - International HR Department: Human Resources - International Operations

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager - International HR will support smooth and consistent HR operations across multiple countries. The role focuses on employee lifecycle management, onboarding, hiring coordination, engagement, and HR analytics. It requires strong execution, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively in a multicultural global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hiring Support, Induction & Employee Onboarding

- Coordinate hiring processes in alignment with country teams and HRBPs.

- Facilitate the induction process by ensuring availability of onboarding materials, schedules, and introductions.

- Manage the end-to-end onboarding experience for international employees, ensuring timely documentation, data setup, and seamless integration into teams.

- Support hiring managers and HR partners with pre-joining communication and onboarding readiness.

- Track onboarding progress and address employee queries during their settling-in period.

2. International HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

- Manage transfers, probation, confirmations, exits, and employee data management for international locations.

- Ensure accurate employee records across HRIS systems.

- Support workforce planning and coordination of manpower requirements with regional teams.

3. HR Policies & Projects

- Assist in drafting, updating, and rolling out HR policies, guidelines, and SOPs.

- Conduct process checks and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.

4. Talent & Capability Enablement

- Support learning and capability-building initiatives across global teams (excluding appraisal/ performance cycle activities).

- Coordinate training programs, track completion, and report on effectiveness.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

- Drive employee engagement initiatives tailored to regional contexts.

- Conduct periodic station/ employee connects to gather on-ground feedback, understand employee needs, and identify improvement areas.

- Support engagement surveys, consolidate insights, and assist in creating action plans.

- Promote cross-cultural communication and strengthen workplace culture across geographies.

6. HR Analytics, Reporting & Dashboards

- Prepare and deliver periodic HR dashboards and reports, including headcount, attrition, hiring, and movement metrics.

- Create and maintain dashboards to support data-driven decisions for HR and business leadership.

- Monitor and maintain station-level attrition, identify trends, and escalate early warning indicators.

- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely submission of HR data.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Understanding of global HR operations

- Familiarity with HR platforms

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across cultures

- Analytical mindset with strong Excel/ Power BI capabilities

- Process-oriented with high attention to detail

- Ability to work efficiently in a global, matrixed environment

- Strong coordination and execution capability

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

- 3-6 years of HR experience. Experience with multinational teams or multi-country HR processes is a plus
