Our Executive Education and Government Training initiatives target professionals from corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors to enhance leadership and policy engagement capacities.
Position Overview
The Director of Executive Education and Career Services will lead and expand ISPPs Executive Education programs while spearheading the Office of Career Services. This role is crucial for developing and managing strategic partnerships across government, corporate, nonprofit, and multilateral sectors, driving revenue through training, consulting projects, and placement initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee a lean, cross-functional team responsible for partnership development, program management, career services, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development & Revenue Generation
- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with government bodies, public sector enterprises, corporates, NGOs, and multilateral agencies to promote executive education offerings.
- Develop and implement strategic roadmaps to expand ISPPs client base and convert leads into successful training, consulting engagements, and placement collaborations.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through tailored educational offerings and effective business development.
Program Management & Leadership
- Oversee the design, development, customization, and delivery of executive education programs tailored to the needs of senior professionals and industry partners.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of training programs, from initial engagement through post-program evaluation.
- Lead career services efforts to facilitate scholars job offers and successful placements.
- Collaborate closely with academic and delivery teams to ensure program alignment with market and policy trends.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Lead and manage a small, high-performance team, fostering collaboration, setting clear goals, and providing ongoing feedback.
- Mentor junior staff and guide team efforts in client engagement, outreach, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement & Brand Positioning
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with C-suite leaders, senior bureaucrats, policy stakeholders, alumni, and other key influencers.
- Represent ISPP at industry events, conferences, roundtables, and networking forums to promote ISPPs executive education and career services credentials.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance ISPPs industry partnerships, program offerings, and competitive positioning.
- Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to maintain ISPPs leadership in executive education and career services.
- Prepare annual and long-term budgets, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates and actionable insights to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in relationship management, business development, or leadership roles within executive education, higher education, consulting, or capacity-building sectors.
- Proven success in managing senior-level institutional partnerships, closing large-scale engagements, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong interest and preferably some experience in governance, public policy, leadership development, or social impact domains.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and operationalize new programs and services, especially in an entrepreneurial, growth-stage institutional environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and driving high performance.
- Strategic thinking coupled with effective execution in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
- Knowledge of public policy and government training programs is preferred.
- A postgraduate qualification is preferred.
