JOB LOCATION: Head office in Chennai, extensive travel across the state.  ABOUT INDIAN POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (I-PAC) :   Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) (est. April 2015) is India's FIRST cross party advocacy group, which endeavors to support the election of visionary, progressive and inclusive leaders to public offices. With our members previously organized under the banner of Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) (est. 2013), we have been operating in the socio-political domain for the last five years and have been lauded as the - Powerhouse that changed [election] campaigning in India forever- . Set up with the ambitious goal of re-inventing the socio-political space, I-PAC provides a platform for young professionals to meaningfully associate with electoral politics and contribute to policy making and governance by setting the agenda for incoming governments. .   PAST PROJECTS :   In the last four years, I-PAC (and previously CAG) has successfully managed National, State and International Election Campaigns   - National :- Narendra Modi-led Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), General Elections   - State :- Mr. Nitish Kumar, Bihar State Elections; Capt. Amarinder Singh, Punjab State Elections; SP-INC Alliance, Uttar Pradesh State Elections   - International : Dr. John P. Magufuli, Tanzania Presidential Elections   TEAM I-PAC :   I-PAC is a group of young, spirited and like-minded individuals from diverse professional and academic backgrounds with an aim to secure an active voice in governance and policy making. I-PAC members have graduated from the finest institutions such as IIT, IIM, LSE, TISS, NLU, DU etc. and have worked at global organizations like McKinsey, BCG, ITC, Credit Suisse, Schlumberger, Deloitte, WTO, etc.   WHAT DOES AN IPAC-er DO-   I-PAC Core Team members(Associates/Junior Associates) actively engage with multiple stake-holders and drive the Election Campaign in a particular Parliamentary/Assembly Constituency. The stake holders and respective work remains as follows:   1. Electorate - Understanding that the voter is the king, IPACer's continuously strive to ground their electoral understanding and assessment in what the voter wants and needs. This takes us to the remotest parts of the constituency, to understand local issues, the social structures and scope of their engagement as electoral constituents.  2. Party people - A major part of strategy and execution has to be carried out by seamless coordination with party members (MPs, MLAs, Party Presidents, others). A successful election campaign combines party's experience with IPACer's innovative ideas of execution.   3. Vendors - Be it hoardings, be it wall painting, be it humongous mass rally (Nitish Kumar's Swabhiman Rally, Narendra Modi's 3D Rally), be it awe-inspiring road show (Rahul Gandhi - Akhilesh Yadav Road Show series), be it niche focused group event (Coffee with Captain, Halke Vich Captain, Chai Pe Charcha), be it humbling door to door campaign (Har Ghar Dastak, Har Ghar Captain), it's all executed by managing multiple vendors in getting the best output with handson coordination by Core Team Member.   4. Volunteers - No campaign is ever successful without the help of the on-ground force of motivated volunteers. For successfully executing the campaigns, the Core Team Members are responsible for sourcing and retaining passionate, driven and hardworking volunteers to take the campaign message to every nook and corner of the constituency.   APPLY IF:  1.
