
Job Title: India Sales Head
Location: Pune
Experience: 15+ years in Software Sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Job Overview:
The India Sales Head will be responsible for driving the growth of the software business across India. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in software sales and a proven track record of leading successful sales teams. The candidate will be responsible for defining sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to refine the sales approach.
- Set short and long-term sales objectives and plan accordingly.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction, growth, and teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and training to team members.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for major clients, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals with customers.
Market Development:
- Identify new market opportunities and drive expansion into untapped regions within India.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the companys software solutions.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance metrics and generate detailed reports for senior management.
- Provide insights on market trends, customer behaviour, and sales performance to inform decision-making.
- Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- In-depth understanding of the Indian software market and sales practices.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
