Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to timelines, and professional development of team members.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights into variances and supporting strategic financial planning.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., Indian GAAP, Ind AS), and tax laws (e.g., GST, TDS).
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis that support business decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and other financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Leverage accounting software and MS Excel effectively to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Financial Management Skills: Proven expertise in managing comprehensive financial processes and operations.
- Accounting Skills: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Budgeting Skills: Solid experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations, tax laws (GST, TDS), and compliance requirements.
- Financial Planning & Analysis Experience: Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
- Team Management & Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage an accounting team effectively.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and strong problem-solving abilities to address financial challenges.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Zoho Books as applicable) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all financial tasks.
- Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA qualification is highly preferred.
