
Description: Were seeking a Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience in FEMA and foreign exchange compliance to support cross-border clients in regulatory and advisory matters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, regulation, and international business.
What Youll Do:
- Provide end-to-end advisory and compliance support on FEMA (FDI, ODI, ECB, LRS, and other forex transactions).
- Prepare, review, and file FEMA returns, approvals, and applications with RBI and authorized banks.
- Conduct FEMA health checks and internal audits, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Liaise with RBI, AD Banks, and regulatory authorities for approvals, clarifications, and compounding cases.
- Support clients on cross-border taxation, including treaty interpretation and international tax compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure tax-efficient international transactions.
- Stay current on evolving RBI circulars, FEMA regulations, and global tax frameworks.
Who You Are:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of FEMA, RBI regulations, FDI/ODI/ECB frameworks.
- Exposure to international taxation and cross-border compliance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects with precision and accountability.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in a consulting/advisory firm or corporate compliance setup.
- Prior involvement in cross-border structuring, international tax, or regulatory matters.
