Title: Implementation Manager - Audit Innovation and Transformation Group (AITG)

Role overview:
The Implementation team will be a key bridge between AITG's technology-driven automation initiatives and audit engagement teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful roll- out, usage, adoption, and continual enhancement of automation tools and AI solutions. The team will play a critical role in supporting end users (auditors), identifying practical implementation challenges, driving behavioural change, and embedding innovations into day-to- day audit workflows.
This role combines expertise in audit execution with fluency in audit tools and automation - someone who thrives on problem-solving, user engagement, coaching teams, and turning innovation into usable practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Champion and drive implementation of audit automation solutions across engagement teams, serving as the primary interface between AITG and auditors.
- Develop and execute implementation plans including communication, roll-out strategy, training sessions, feedback loops, and change management.
- Engage deeply with pilot users, identify points of friction or confusion in tool use, and work collaboratively with project managers and business analysts to refine solutions.
- Partner with Audit Automation Working Group (AWG), National Audit Office (NAO) teams and audit leadership to build confidence in newly developed tools and ensure their integration into audit methodology.
- Design and deliver tailored workshops, demos, and hands-on labs to increase awareness and comfort with tools.
- Monitor adoption rates and usage statistics across engagements, identify resistance patterns, and formulate strategies to overcome them.
- Contribute feedback on tool performance, propose enhancements, and act as a voice of the user in AITG solution development lifecycle.
- Collaborate in planning pilots and UAT for new releases, assess business readiness, and coordinate go-to-market implementation.
- Actively support cross-tool workflow testing and demonstrate how tools deliver quality, efficiency, and insights in audit engagements.
- Work with engagement teams to map use cases to audit programs and procedures, enabling seamless embedding of tools into the audit lifecycle.
Experience and qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) required, with 3-8 years of audit experience, preferably in a large audit or consulting firm.
- Strong exposure to technology-enabled audit tools; hands-on experience preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or exposure to AI, automation, or analytics in audit.
- Track record of coaching or mentoring teams, especially on new technologies or process changes.
- Experience in implementation, transformation, change management or quality enablement roles within audit is a plus.
