Job Title : Deputy Director - School of Business

Position Overview:

The Deputy Director of the Business School at Sricity Education Foundation will be a visionary and entrepreneurial academic leader responsible for establishing and leading a world-class, industry-integrated business school. The role demands a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation in pedagogy, and deep engagement with industry to drive SIU's mission of creating a new model of higher education grounded in work-integrated learning.

The Director will play a foundational role in shaping the Business School's strategy, academic programs, faculty recruitment, research agenda, and industry partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Lead the design and establishment of the Business School's academic vision, governance framework, and operational plans in alignment with SIU's institutional goals.

- Drive the development and continuous improvement of industry-aligned undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs.

- Ensure the integration of work-based learning, internships, and live industry projects within academic delivery.

Academic Excellence & Innovation:

- Promote academic rigor, integrity, and excellence across all programs.

- Champion the use of emerging technologies, including AI-driven and digital tools, for personalised learning and outcome measurement.

- Cultivate a culture of interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and real-world problem solving.

Faculty Development & Research:

- Recruit and mentor a diverse, highly qualified faculty body with academic and industry expertise.

- Foster faculty research, publication, and industry consultancy, especially in emerging domains aligned with India's growth sectors.

- Create an enabling ecosystem for academic leadership, research centres, and think tanks within the School.

Industry Collaboration & Outreach:

- Establish and deepen partnerships with corporate leaders across sectors like manufacturing, technology, logistics, BFSI, and services.

- Design frameworks for multi-year internships, co-op programs, and industry-mentored student projects.

- Leverage Sri City's industrial ecosystem for guest lectures, case development, and co-curricular engagements.

Student Success & Graduate Outcomes:

- Ensure high-quality student learning experiences through continuous feedback and engagement.

- Oversee career services, placement support, and leadership development initiatives for students.

- Create a robust alumni network to mentor students and support career mobility.

Administration & Compliance:

- Manage academic budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting in alignment with university governance.

- Ensure compliance with national regulatory bodies and accreditation standards.

- Represent the Business School in national and international academic, industry, and policy forums.

Qualifications & Experience:

- PhD in Management or Business Administration (or closely related discipline) from a reputed institution.

- Minimum 15 years of academic and/or industry experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

- Proven track record of institution-building, program development, and corporate engagement.

- Experience with work-integrated learning models, executive education, or practice-based pedagogy is desirable.

- Excellent communication, team-building, and stakeholder management skills.
