
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AVP Payment Posting / Billing to lead large-scale healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing payment posting and billing functions, driving operational excellence, improving profitability, and leading large delivery teams. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and deep expertise in US healthcare RCM processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end Payment Posting and Billing operations within the US Healthcare RCM domain.
- Manage large delivery teams of 200+ FTEs, ensuring productivity, quality, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive operational efficiency, margin improvement, and continuous process optimization.
- Own delivery performance, including workforce planning, hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
- Monitor operational KPIs, financial performance, and service quality while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and drive business growth.
- Oversee process governance, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Manage P&L, resource utilization, budgeting, and operational finance.
- Provide leadership coaching and build high-performing teams.
- Travel domestically or internationally as required to support business needs.
Required Skills:
- 10-14 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
- Strong experience in Payment Posting and/or Medical Billing operations.
- Proven experience managing large teams of 200+ FTEs.
- Demonstrated success in driving year-on-year margin growth and operational excellence.
- Experience managing delivery, recruitment, training, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of US healthcare billing processes, payer guidelines, claim edits, denials, and reimbursement workflows.
- Good understanding of payment posting, payer contracts, refunds, credits, and enrollments.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, federal programs, and leading commercial payers.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing platforms such as Epic, NextGen (NG), eClinicalWorks (eCW), Athenahealth, or similar systems.
- Basic understanding of medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) is preferred.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, coaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing P&L and EBITDA for large healthcare delivery operations.
- Exposure to process transformation, automation, Lean Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience working with global healthcare clients and managing multi-location delivery teams.
