About IIT Delhi Alumni Relations and Endowment Foundation
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and intellectually curious professional to support our fundraising efforts through deep, targeted research on High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), Corporate CSR divisions, and Family Offices. This is a non-client-facing role focused on prospecting, profiling, and building actionable intelligence to support strategic fundraising and donor engagement. Ideal for someone who loves research, is analytical, persistent, and thrives behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Outreach & Engagement
1.Initiate and manage telephonic and email outreach to alumni and donor prospects to introduce giving opportunities.
2. Follow up consistently with leads to assess interest and schedule meetings or calls with senior officials/fundraising heads.
3. Engage warmly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders - from recent graduates to accomplished industry leaders.
Meeting Coordination & Donor Support
1. Set up meetings and calls between senior institute leadership and large donors/prospects.
2. Prepare and share necessary background notes, donor profiles, or talking points before high-level meetings.
3. Ensure timely follow-ups post meetings including thank-you notes, proposal sharing or updates.
Campaign Promotion & Communication
1. Share information about ongoing giving campaigns, institutional priorities, and impact areas (e.g., scholarships, research chairs, infrastructure).
2. Tailor messages based on donor interests and giving history, ensuring relevance and personalization.
Documentation & Reporting
1. Maintain clear and organized records of all donor interactions and meeting outcomes in the CRM/database.
2. Track donor pipeline stages and share weekly updates with internal stakeholders.
3. Support the drafting of proposals, donor reports, and presentations as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Strong organizational and coordination skills; attention to detail is a must.
3. Ability to handle sensitive donor information with discretion and integrity.
4. Positive attitude, persistence, and a solutions-driven mindset.
5. Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1 to 5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, alumni relations, client servicing or similar outreach roles.
6. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and experience with CRM/fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) is an added advantage.
7. Ability to work independently, with strong ownership and follow-through.
Preferred Experience
1. Experience supporting fundraising or business development teams in an NGO, think tank, academic institution, education sector or philanthropic foundation.
2. Interest in development, education, social impact, or research-driven institutions.
