About the Role

The Sales Manager (B2C | EdTech Sales) will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales counseling team to drive student enrollments, revenue growth, and sales target achievement. This role involves team leadership, sales execution, CRM-driven lead management, conversion optimization, and performance tracking. You will work closely with marketing, senior sales leadership, and cross-functional teams to maximize lead conversion, improve funnel efficiency, and scale business growth.

What Youll Do

Sales Target Achievement & Revenue Delivery

- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets aligned with monthly and quarterly business plans.

- Drive revenue growth and enrollment numbers for B2C EdTech programs.

- Monitor and improve lead-to-enrollment conversion rates across inbound and outbound channels.

- Ensure sales funnel hygiene, effective pipeline management, and reduced lead leakage.

- Drive new customer acquisition through direct sales, telesales, inside sales, and counseling calls.

- Track lead aging, follow-ups, and first response time (FRT) to improve sales productivity.

Sales Strategy Execution & Sales Process Optimization

- Execute sales strategies, campaigns, and initiatives defined by senior sales leadership.

- Support and drive cross-selling and upselling of courses and programs.

- Share market insights, competitor trends, and student feedback with marketing and product teams.

- Ensure high adoption and disciplined usage of CRM systems and sales automation tools.

- Improve call quality, objection handling, pitch effectiveness, and closing ratios.

Team Management, Coaching & Training

- Lead, manage, and motivate a sales team of 1030 sales counselors.

- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and track performance.

- Conduct continuous sales training, call listening, pitch coaching, and objection-handling sessions.

- Drive team productivity, discipline, and accountability.

- Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and ramp-up of new sales team members.

Reporting, QA & Performance Analytics

- Track and report key metrics such as revenue per salesperson, conversion ratios, productivity, and target achievement.

- Conduct call audits, quality assurance checks, and compliance reviews.

- Ensure accurate lead allocation, CRM data hygiene, and utilization audits.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales MIS and performance reports.

Additional Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with marketing teams to align on lead quality, campaign performance, and conversion improvement.

- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance sales efficiency and team output.

- Perform other duties assigned by sales leadership in line with business requirements.

Who You Are

Must-Have

- 8 to 10 years of experience in B2C sales, preferably in EdTech, education, training, or service-based industries.

- Proven experience managing sales teams of 10+ members.

- Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead management, pipeline tracking, and conversion metrics.

- Excellent people management, communication, coaching, and leadership skills.

- Hands-on experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, LeadSquared, or similar platforms.

- Strong objection handling, negotiation, and closing skills.

Should Have

- Experience executing sales strategies, target planning, and incentive structures.

- Ability to analyze sales data and create performance reports and MIS dashboards.

- Familiarity with sales automation tools, CRM workflows, and process adherence.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with marketing and product teams in a high-growth environment.

- Exposure to international sales markets or global customer segments.

- Certifications or training in sales leadership, CRM optimization, or business development.
