About the Role:

IDfy is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant having up to 8-10 years of post qualification work experience. The role would involve overseeing and managing the financial operations & consolidated financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of financial information, analyzing financial data, developing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, leading statutory audit processes and Banking & Treasury management. This role requires a strategic financial leader with deep understanding of accounting principles, financial management, taxation laws and latest financial tools & technologies to support business growth and financial health.

Detailed Role & Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting, Analysis & Compliance:

- Ensure accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting, adhering to accounting principles/standards and legal requirements.

- Manage company's financial systems and budgets, implementing and overseeing strict financial controls.

- Managing and overseeing Statutory and Internal Audits of group companies to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

- Develop and refine financial policies, processes, and systems to drive operational efficiency and evaluate cost reduction opportunities.

- Leading deep financial analysis along with best industry benchmarks in order to bring more business synergies and insights.

Taxation:

- Oversee the company's tax planning and compliance with all tax filings and regulations.

- Manage and execute all aspects of taxation, including direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, tax audits and GST audits.

- Advise management on tax implications of business decisions and strategies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Develop and monitor control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Banking Operations & Treasury Management:

- Ensuring effective working capital management across the Banks.

- Manage relations with Bankers and financial institutions on an ongoing basis for all the present and future banking/fund requirements.

- Cash flow forecasting & budgeting for the management.

- Managing forex transactions in compliance with FEMA guidelines.

International Expansion and managing International Subsidiaries:

- Explore the country to understand how to do business.

- Set up international entities and monitor them.

- Manage the local compliances and nuances.

- Partner with the international market development team to understand the local nuances better.

Operations and Team Leadership:

- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

- Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

- Define, streamline & monitor accounting processes and operations for efficiency and effectiveness.

- Foster a culture of adoption of technology to bring operational efficiencies and productivity.

Others:

- Reviewing payroll approval process along with HR business partner.

- Any other ad hoc business process review or ad hoc analysis as per business requirement.

Skills & Attributes:

- Chartered Accountant.

- 8-10 years of relevant post-qualification experience with a minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience.

- Work experience (including articleship) with any BIG 4 firm would be added advantage.

- Should have fund raise experience (due diligence, during & post fund raise documentation) in a growth stage company.

- Working knowledge of journey towards IPO would be added advantage.

- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be an added advantage.

- Working knowledge of managing group of companies including international subsidiaries.

- Excellent financial acumen with a diligence & critical thinking mindset.

- Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

- Tech savvy, Business oriented, problem solving & Growth mindset.

- Working knowledge of IND AS accounting. Expertise in Companies Act, Taxation, FEMA, Forex & Treasury.
