Job Title: Director - Business Development (Finance)


Position Overview:

The Director Business Development (Finance) will be responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and new business opportunities within the financial domain. The role requires a strong blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and build long-term client and investor relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Growth & Planning:

- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the organizations financial goals and expansion plans.


- Identify and evaluate potential investment, partnership, and acquisition opportunities.


- Work closely with leadership to develop financial models, forecasts, and ROI analyses for new ventures.


Partnerships & Client Acquisition:

- Build and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and corporate clients.


- Lead negotiations and structuring of strategic deals, alliances, and joint ventures.


- Develop go-to-market strategies for new financial products or services.


Financial & Market Analysis:


- Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and growth areas.


- Oversee financial due diligence, business valuation, and risk assessment for new opportunities.


- Track business performance metrics, profitability, and long-term value creation.


Leadership & Team Management:


- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team.


- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and marketing teams to execute strategic initiatives.


- Represent the organization at key industry forums, conferences, and investor meetings.


Qualifications & Experience:


- MBA (Finance/Strategy) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.


- 10-18 years of progressive experience in business development, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategy roles.


- Proven track record in driving business growth, partnerships, and revenue expansion in the financial services or allied sectors.


- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud economics, and digital transformation trends.


- Stay updated on emerging technologies impacting financesuch as cloud migration, automation, data analytics, and cybersecurity.


- Strong understanding of financial modeling, mergers & acquisitions, and deal structuring.


- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.


- Strategic mindset with analytical and entrepreneurial drive.
