Essential Services: Role & Location Fungibility

About the Role :
Manager: Internal Control over Financial Reporting Group
As a Manager in ICOFR Group, the role would involve reviewing and assessing internal controls designed by Business and Operation Group, periodic review/testing of controls, walkthroughs, advisory to business, coordination of self assessment and IFC certification process across Bank and material subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and evaluate the adequacy of controls designed and documented by first line and advise on improvement in control environment.
- Ability to perform oversight on self-assurance i.e performs quality checks on sample basis, on self-testing performed by various groups in the Bank.
- Conduct periodic walkthroughs and testing of critical processes and controls as per plan approved by Audit Committee to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ensure preparation of review reports, maintain supporting documentation and provide periodic updates to seniors on control effectiveness and key observations and ensure timely remediation and closure.
- Ensure timely self-assessment and IFC certification process with respective business groups, annual certification by the CFO and MD, based on certifications from Executive Directors for the Bank and its material subsidiaries.
- Ability to identify control deficiencies, document observations, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist Team Leads in ACM level reporting on control deficiencies and other quarter end activities.
Accountability :
The official would be accountable for ensuring adequacy of controls documented, assess the design and operating effectiveness and manage timely self-assessment and IFC certification process.
Key Qualifications & Skills :
- Education Qualification: CA with minimum 2 years of experience (preferably in audit)
- Understanding and functional knowledge of various Banking products and services
- Strong understanding of Internal controls, COSO framework, SOX, risk assessment, control testing and documentation (Risk control Matrix), accounting standards as per IGAAP and USGAAP & accounting concepts
- Awareness of regulations related to RBI, SEBI, IFSCA etc.
- Ability to analyse financial processes and identify control gaps impacting financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Engaging with various stakeholders to accomplish task/project
- Proficient in MS office, SAS application
