Job Summary

- We are seeking a seasoned International Business Manager with extensive experience in pharmaceutical/dermatological international sales, specifically targeting the African and ASEAN regions.


- The role demands expertise in market entry strategies, sales channel management, contract negotiation, and essential international trade logistics (Import/Export, licensing). This manager will be accountable for achieving significant revenue growth and ensuring market expansion through strategic relationships and meticulous operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities and International Business Deliverables

- Market Strategy and Planning: Lead Market Analysis and Planning for the Africa and ASEAN regions, identifying new business opportunities, assessing competitive landscapes, and defining clear Revenue Growth strategies.

- Sales and Distribution Management: Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of different countries within the developing markets of Africa and ASEAN. Manage sales and distribution channels to maximize market penetration and product visibility.

- Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key distributors, major clients, dermatologists, and other stakeholders across the target markets through consistent engagement and frequent international travel.

- International Trade and Compliance: Oversee Import/Export Management, licensing, and regional regulatory compliance to ensure the seamless flow of pharmaceutical and dermatological products into and within the target markets.

- Contract and Negotiation: Take the lead in Contract Negotiations with international partners, distributors, and vendors, ensuring favorable terms that support long-term profitability and expansion goals.

- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Finance) to align product pipeline, inventory, and compliance efforts with international market requirements.

- Performance Monitoring: Monitor market trends and sales performance against targets, adjusting strategies dynamically to ensure sustainable growth and expansion.

- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively internationally for relation building and market expansion activities.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in Pharma International sales.

- Domain Expertise: Expertise in Pharmaceutical and Dermatological Business (Derma/Cosmetology segment) and its unique sales/regulatory challenges.

- Market Acumen: Good knowledge of developing markets and proven ability to implement strategy in different countries.

- Core Business Skills: Proven capability in Market Research, Revenue Growth, and Contract Negotiations.

- International Logistics: Practical knowledge and experience in Import/Export Management, licensing, and trade compliance for pharmaceuticals.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills to manage diverse international relationships.

Preferred Skills

- Direct experience managing distributors or subsidiaries in the African and/or ASEAN regions.

- Proficiency in a regional language from either the African or ASEAN market is a plus.
