Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Senior Manager Accounts Receivable to manage and lead the AR function. The role involves overseeing end-to-end receivables from domestic clients, ensuring timely billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate must come from an IT or ITES background with a strong understanding of India-based client operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure billing execution aligns strictly with signed MoUs, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

- Monitor and manage the complete billing cycle from invoice generation to payment receipt.

- Work closely with the Sales and Delivery teams to validate billing inputs and client obligations.

- Implement and maintain revenue recognition processes in line with internal policies.

- Generate monthly revenue projections based on active MoUs and delivery status.

- Monitor aging reports and drive timely collections from clients to reduce overdue receivables.

- Coordinate with clients to resolve disputes, follow up on payments, and escalate delays as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of receivables, collection status, and expected cash inflows.

- Prepare regular MIS reports, dashboards, and collection forecasts for leadership review.

- Lead a AR team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

- Support internal audits and collaborate on system improvements to streamline AR processes.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CA/CMA preferred).

- 8+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 35 years in an IT or ITES company.

- Strong understanding of MoU-based billing structures, service-linked invoicing, and delivery-aligned revenue recognition.

- Ability to independently manage collections, cash flow forecasting, and AR reporting.

- Experience with accounting tools such as Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks.

- Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.

- Strong coordination and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based billing (within India).

- Experience implementing or improving AR processes in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of revenue tracking and performance metrics (e.g., DSO, collection efficiency).

- Exposure to billing automation or dashboard/reporting tools like Zoho Analytics or Power BI.
