Assistant Manager - Project
Job Description:
- Review and interpret layouts.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, site investigations, and surveys.
- Manage site establishment activities in coordination with subcontractors.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of civil drawings at the site level.
- Handle design-related changes and coordinate updates with all stakeholders.
- Attend regular site meetings and report progress to project management.
- Supervise and coordinate civil workforces and subcontractors.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of civil systems.
- Ensure all site activities comply with civil codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records: material logbooks, workers' attendance, and site documentation.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Maintain and verify JMCs, billing records, and support invoice processing.
- Plan and track cash flows and revenue generation at the site level.
- Prepare execution plans, site procedures, and micro-schedules.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Ensure project punch closing, FTOV, and final project handover.
- Maintain BOQ, BBS, reconciliation statements, and other civil records.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and local authorities as required.
- Travel occasionally for short-term assignments to project locations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree/ Master's in related field.
- Strong working knowledge of civil works in AIS/GIS substations (up to 800kV).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience in substation civil construction, including foundations, equipment installations, and drainage.
- Familiarity with civil BOQ preparation, costing, and risk analysis.
- Knowledge of BBS, JMC, material reconciliation, and project billing.
- Strong grasp of civil codes, safety norms, and environmental regulations.
- Effective communication (English & Hindi) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and MS Project or Primavera.
- Ability to work independently and manage teams at the project site.
