
- The Director of Frontend Engineering leads the Web Fabric initiative-defining architecture, scaling teams, and ensuring low-latency, high-quality UX across all products.
- This leader manages 10+ engineers and managers, aligning with Data Engineering and ML/API teams to deliver end-to-end reliability and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve our frontend architecture and component strategy.
- Manage 10+ frontend engineers and managers to deliver high-velocity React / Next.js applications.
- Produce architecture documents, design specs, and implementation plans for exec review.
- Align architecture and delivery roadmaps with Data, ML and API teams.
- Establish frontend engineering best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and release automation.
- Define and track KPIs for velocity, UX performance, and developer productivity.
Must Have Qualifications:
- 10+ years engineering experience (2+ in leadership managing 10+ engineers).
- Deep experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript or similar modern frameworks.
- Demonstrated success building and operating large-scale frontend platforms.
- Strong foundation in CI/CD automation and frontend observability.
- Proven ability to write architecture docs and run design reviews.
Nice to Have Qualifications:.
- Design-system implementation, SSR/SSG optimization, RUM analytics.
- Experience with real-time frontends (websockets, live data).
- Familiarity with Vercel, CloudFront, and modern deployment pipelines.
