Area Sales Manager (4-8 yrs)


Role:


Working with the General Manager this person will open, manage and maintain new and larger existing accounts with the Region.

In support of our mission, you will:

- Be the regional contact person for all business-related items to your System and Tooling customers.


- Write and/or co-ordinate the writing of proposals/quotations for presentation to the customer.


- Quote and follow all new projects, retrofits and enhancements. Write all orders and review with Regional Manager.


- Create value for the customer by implementing standards that will make them successful.


- Be involved in new project application analysis and work cell suggestions.


- Participate in customer service projects including assisting machine/system installations and start-up.


- Coordinate and schedule meetings, product updates and visits to Delhi, Bolton, Milton and Luxembourg, when required.


- Coordinate and schedule meetings with customers when required.


- Host customer personnel at the Husky factories for system buy-offs and product development updates when required.


- Understand product capabilities and customer applications.


- Respond to requests for information from your customers with a sales call. Qualify all requests to determine the level of Husky compatibility with the specific customer requirement.


- Build relationship and make regular sales calls to your customers.


- Ensure customer's equipment is running correctly. Continually audit customers systems for safety, cycle time and overall performance, benchmarking the systems against their original design specifications and today's best technology.

- Maintain knowledge of industry changes, acquisitions, and personnel. Maintain and grow knowledge base, especially, of the specified customer account(s) under your care.


- Present and/or assist in the presentation of proposals/quotations to the customer.


- Develop knowledge of sales support services.


- Being the "Key Person" with considerable service capability, action all field issues, problems to engineering, service, management, and other field sales personnel.


- Report on field problems to engineering, service, management, and other field sales personnel.


- Submit performance reports on a regular basis.


- Report on lost orders and explanation for competitive purchases.


- Prepare and maintain, market summaries, customer objectives, forecasts, strategies and activity reports.

You bring these skills and experience to the position:

- Significant Husky product knowledge


- A mechanical engineering degree/diploma with 2-3 years of sales experience in injection molding systems.


- Knowledge of sales techniques.


- 3 to 5 years of technical exposure to injection molding.


- Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal and written in Tamil, English and Hindi.


- Strong Injection Molding machine knowledge and background.


- Good understanding of the plastic injection molding industry.


- Team-oriented with ability to work well with little supervision.

- Ability to travel to all customer plants.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Customer service oriented.

- Ability to review applications and analyze various manufacturing methods and their cost implications.

- Fluent with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other computer programs.

- Work Location: Chennai [Preference to the candidate Based in Chennai]

- Travel Requirement: 50% travel minimum
