Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant (SME) with deep expertise in Workday HCM modules to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of HR technology solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert, collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless delivery of Workday solutions aligned to organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Module Expertise: Lead and manage end-to-end functional support for at least one specialized Workday module such as Workday Benefits, Compensation, Time & Absence, Talent, Payroll, or Core HCM.
- System Configuration & Management: Configure, optimize, and maintain Workday HCM modules to support evolving business needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to capture requirements, translate business processes into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Implementation & Rollouts: Drive implementation of new Workday functionalities and enhancements, ensuring successful deployment across global teams.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure that HR system processes adhere to company policies, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess system performance, identify risks, and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure business continuity.
- Change Management & Training: Develop training material and conduct workshops to enhance user adoption across HR and business functions.
- Audit & Reporting: Conduct regular system audits, maintain compliance documentation, and prepare analytical reports for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and overall system value.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong functional expertise in Workday HCM with hands-on experience in at least one major module (e.g., Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Time & Absence, Talent).
- Proven experience in Workday configuration, implementation, and ongoing functional support.
- Solid understanding of HR business processes including recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance, and absence management.
- Experience with end-user training, documentation, and change management strategies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering within timelines.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and guide HR and business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Certification(s) in relevant modules.
- Experience in managing multi-country HR operations within Workday.
- Prior experience in HR Technology transformation programs.
- Exposure to integration testing and cross-functional system dependencies.
