Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager with a strong background in the Petrochemical, Plastics, or Rubber domain.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within budget and on schedule while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Lead end-to-end execution of projects from initiation to commissioning in the petrochemical/ plastics/rubber sector
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource planning, and deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, and safety
- Monitor project progress and generate regular status reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including negotiation, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations
- Identify and mitigate risks and resolve project-related issues proactively
- Control project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization
- Prepare technical documentation, compliance certifications, and handover reports
- Conduct review meetings and ensure smooth communication across teams
- Facilitate audits and ensure project compliance with ISO, EHS, and other regulatory norms
Required Skillsets:
- Proven experience in managing industrial projects in petrochemical, plastics, or rubber manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, P&ID, piping, process equipment, and commissioning
- Expertise in project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Working knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, HAZOP, and EHS guidelines
- Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor development, and contract management
- Budgeting, cost control, and project financial tracking capabilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Qualifications:
- MBA and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience in project management within the petrochemical, plastics, or rubber industry
