Role Overview:
The HSE Manager will be responsible for driving and managing the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function across large-scale Wind and Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) sites. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with statutory, corporate, and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture. The candidate will also oversee environmental and social management, including ESIA, and lead initiatives to enhance operational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain HSE management systems in line with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Lead Arc Flash studies and ensure effective implementation of LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
- Design and conduct HSE training programs and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
- Oversee incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Coordinate Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and ensure adherence to EMP and social safeguards.
- Develop and submit periodic HSE reports, dashboards, and performance reviews to management.
- Manage contractor HSE performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support sustainability initiatives such as resource efficiency, waste management, and biodiversity protection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Safety Management (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
- Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory).
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in HSE management within Renewable Energy O&M (Wind/Solar) or power sector.
- Expertise in Auditing, Reporting, Training, Arc Flash analysis, LOTO, and ESIA.
- Sound understanding of environmental regulations, risk management, and sustainability practices.
