Role :  The Role requires the Analyst to be a part of Credit Analysis Unit (CAU) team in Bangalore which supports UK, US, France, Hong Kong, Middle East and Japan. In addition the Analyst would also be required to liaise with the business and locally with the supporting Departments which would enable him/her to carry out the duties.  Principal Accountabilities Key activities and decision making areas :  - Impact on the Business: To undertake complex industry, competitor and client level analysis of financial documentation and supplemental data to support lending decision-making and recommending credit requests to appropriately meet business needs   Customers (External / Internal): To provide technical advice and assist Sector Teams onshore Leadership & Team work   - To pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflow   - Operational Effectiveness & Control :To understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process Guides. Also to adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; reporting control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. The analysis work might include complex transactions requiring structured credit facilities.   - Providing technical advice and assisting Sector Teams onshore, as needed.   - Adhering to internal processes for quality and delivering required throughput of high quality credit reviews on time.   - Interacting periodically with onshore business partners, and other stakeholders, as required.   However, depending on the experience, skill and competence, he or she can be given additional responsibilities   Management of Risk :   To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.   To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
