About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and certified Functional Project Manager to lead strategic HR technology initiatives and process transformation programs. This role demands strong knowledge of HR platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, Payroll), Shared Services, and transition management, combined with proven project governance and stakeholder leadership skills. You'll play a key role in driving digital HR transformation and ensuring successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

- Define, plan, and manage HR technology and process optimization projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

- Develop detailed project charters, timelines, and budgets, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within scope.

- Maintain strong governance standards for configuration updates, release management, and data compliance.

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

- Serve as the bridge between HR, IT, Shared Services, and external vendors.

- Manage communications, set expectations, and align global stakeholders on project goals.

- Build trusted partnerships and foster collaboration across diverse teams.

HR Systems & Process Improvements

- Oversee implementation, upgrades, and integration of Workday, ServiceNow, and other HR tools.

- Identify automation and process simplification opportunities to boost operational efficiency.

- Lead transitions of HR services from global regions into India Shared Services with minimal disruption.

Risk, Change & Quality Management

- Proactively identify risks, maintain mitigation plans, and manage change initiatives effectively.

- Update process documentation, SOPs, and training materials as part of transformation programs.

- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - including scenario design, test execution, and issue resolution - to ensure smooth deployment.

Analytics & Reporting

- Use data insights to monitor project progress, performance metrics, and ROI.

- Create executive-level dashboards and reports using tools such as Gantt charts and Kanban boards to track outcomes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

- 10-15 years of experience leading HR transformation or Shared Services projects in a global environment.

- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is essential.

- Proven background in Workday, ServiceNow, or other HR technology deployments.

- Strong knowledge of HR operations, transition programs, and governance best practices.

- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with end-to-end HR transformation initiatives.

- Exposure to data analytics, dashboards, and tracking metrics.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, global setup.
